Past Participle
The past participle form is one of the most common verb forms. Each verb in the past participle is either regular or irregular — the latter should be learned by heart. The past participle is employed by among others the Past Perfect and the passive voice, for example:
Examples:
- Before she left her home, she had turned the lights off.
- The meal was eaten by 10 people.
