Nouns

What is a noun? A noun is a word that names person, place, thing, or abstract idea. To give an example of each: Mike, Germany, building, love.

A few more examples in a context:

• Mike likes ice-creams.
• Keyboard is broken.
• Thomas Edison invented light bulbs
• I enjoy reading a good book.
• Our neighbors are noisy.
• The war lasted for many years.

A noun can be singular or plural. Plural forms are created by adding -s or -es (boxes, foxes).
